ABOUT

SUPERMARKET/CORE is an art based supermarket-publisher project by the collective COLLAPSE/CORE, based in Barcelona. With this project we want to give space not only to our publishing and printed material but also to other emerging artists, researchers and friends. Our publications explore the intersection of internet cultures, aesthetics of collapse, and technopolitics through research, critical art, and experimental design but always with a DIY spirit. They are mostly made with digital, riso and thermal printing, but we like to experiment with all kinds of experimental printing techniques. At the moment our distribution is mainly made hand by hand during markets and fairs (GutterFest, ArtsLibris, Fanzineist Vienna) but we also just launched our online store. One particular and distinctive aspect of our stand is always the colorful and interactive part of the buying experience, made with gashapon prizes and scratch and win tickets. We strongly believe that printed media is the perfect conjunction between the digital and physical world.
